Soul Matters Psychosynthesis Counselling

Fees and FAQ's

How much are the sessions?

Sessions are 1 hour and £45 per session

Consessions are available for low income/students

Payments can be made in cash or via bank transfer on the day

Block payments are also accepted in advance of sessions

How many sessions should I have?

Therapy can be short-term or longer-term depending on your needs. Short term therapy may be somewhere around 6 - 12 sessions.

An intial session of 90 minutes will allow us the time to get to know each other and to talk thoroughly about your situation.

What would the first session be like?

After an initial free phone consultation, my first session is then 90 minutes which provides a time for us to get to know each other, to briefly hear about what has brought you to therapy, and to discuss any needs or requirements that you may have. If you decide that Psychosynthesis is right for you and that you'd like to work with me, we can contract for a further 6 sessions and go from there. I will take some contact details and go through the contract with you, allowing you the time to ask any questions as they arise.

With permission, sessions are recorded for training purposes. If you don't feel comfortable with the recording of sessions or have any questions you need to ask about recordings, please let me know as this is also something we can also discuss in the initial session.

Do sessions have to be weekly? Can I have fortnightly sessions?

Due to the nature of Psychosynthesis, sessions can only be undertaken weekly at first and this helps to maintain the focus and efficacy of the therapeutic process.

What happens if I want to finish with my sessions?

You are totally free to decide within the first 6 weeks whether or not you'd like to continue with therapy with no need to give notice, but once you are more deeply engaged in longer-term work, you will need to allow a number of sessions to work towards an ending that honours your journey.

Making space for endings creates an opportunity to look at possible patterns connected to other endings in your life and may bring up valuable insight and help you to explore new choices and new ways of managing the end of a relationship.
